Cities are constantly changing, much due to the pulsating commerce.
As new business activities with new fresh shops and stores pop up, the street view looks quite different.
Shopping centers have to be alert and strive to keep up the position of forerunner.
All this activity has an inspiring and constructive impact on the vicinity, activities increase and everybody profits.
The department store Centrum, Kristiinankatu 8, is the current changing part in the downtown Turku.
Centrum originates from the time when there were only two department stores in the city, and the building has greatly
suffered ever since.
But now the building will be completely renovated, and when work is completed in autumn 2011 it will face a new glorious era.
